The Reporter's Source Book
This election resource for reporters is updated each election year and includes a "directory of contact info for major issue organizations, think tanks, academic experts, and federal agencies. It's purpose is to allow journalists to quickly research expert opinions on all sides of various issues in the public discourse."

The Voter's Self-Defense Manual
This manual provides candidate biographical, campaign finance, interest group ratings, issue positions, voting records and public statements informaion on the members of Congress. The manual represents a tiny sample of Project Vote Smart's covering of 40,000 elected officials and candidates. They are extending their coverage to city councils and judicial offices as well.
