Governing magazine’s has published their Public Officials of the Year list. Christine Gregoire was the only governor to make the list of nine officials. Gov. Gregoire also made the cover.
The magazine cited her open management style and says, "Gregoire had brought state government a transparency it had never known before."
The last time an Oregon official made the list was 1994, when Mayor Vera Katz and Commissioner Beverly Stein were both honored.

Tracking Internet Performance of 2008 Presidential Candidates
The Spartan Internet Political Performance (SIPP) Index tracks the Internet performance of Presidential candidates for the 2008 election. The scoring represents their ability to reach and connect with people online. The results of the Index are published weekly each Thursday.
