Still in Beta...."Yahoo! News has launched a beta version of a new local news site, which is useful for scanning all of the latest headlines in a region."

You can browse most areas around the United States via a map or drop-down menu.

The site offers a new approach "pulling in RSS feeds from multiple providers, creating a snapshot of all of the local coverage from an area at once."
