Google Scholar

Searching for scholarly literature?

Still in beta..."Google Scholar is offering this search engine specifically designed for finding scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. ... find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web."

Suggested on NICAR-L by John Byczkowski of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Additional review from Gary Price's Resource Shelf advises that some of what you find will be in abstract form. Check with news research to see if we might have access to the full-text product.
