Political Money Line

Oldie but goodie!

A really great resource to mine for stories.

The FEC tracks all contributions $200 plus. Political MoneyLine has made it easy for us to search online by various criteria; city, zip, candidate name, donor name, employer, etc. Historical data for several years back is available if you want to do some comparisons.

The site is updated constantly but you'll want to check on reporting date laws to verify currency of data.

Test out all the options, but one you don't want to overlook is on the right hand side under Donor Geography, click on the map, go down to Oregon (noting there's hard data all along the way), click on Lake Oswego (or whatever), then on the right, click on each letter of the alphabet to see names and amounts.
