Gary Price is soooo cool!

Just back from the SLA conference in Nashville, Lynne Palombo advises:

"By far the most popular News Division panel I attended was "Extreme Searching with Gary Price." Gary is the editor and compiler of The Resource Shelf (credited often on this blog) and Price's List of Lists.

His session focused on what is new and upcoming in search engine technology. A few of note: Yahoo, no longer relying on Google, has launched its own search engine. (Previewed on this blog on February 18) Gigablast is growing. Watch out for MSN.

Non search engine things to watch are; clustering, government metasesarch services, and social networking.
