The Portland Planning Bureau's statistical and graphical snapshot "provides a survey of conditions, trends, and issues facing the City of Portland as it enters the 21st century. It is ... intended to record Portland’s current conditions as well as provide context for a community dialogue about the future direction of the City."

Demographic charts included are jobs, education, housing, development, arts, environment and more.

Data are provided on selected indicators, mostly from the U.S. Census Bureau and other sources, including The Oregonian (see school enrollment section).
