RSS Awareness Day
Today is RSS Awareness Day. What is RSS? RSS is a standardized format used by blogs and news sites for distributing information. The RSS, an abbreviation for 'Really Simple Syndication,' lets you subscribe to these sites using a tool called a news reader or aggregator.

Why should you do this? To save time. RSS collects all the information you want in one place, but first you need a reader. I suggest setting up a free account with an online reader like My Yahoo, Google Reader, or Bloglines. Once you have set up your reader, start visiting your favorite sites and look for the word 'subscribe' or an orange icon that looks like this . RSS will do the rest.
