Monitoring Rain, Hail and Snow
The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) is group of weather observers being used by the National Weather Service. The goal is to gather weather data information from as many locations as possible. The Oregon page has several reports including the daily precipitation report.
The collabrative started with the Colorado Climate Center at Colorado State University in 1998 after the Fort Collins flood. Since then, the network has grown to over 6,500+ observers in 26 states.
-Thanks to Stu for letting us know about the new Oregon page.
